Adam Lambert ~ For Your Entertainment Music Video Review

Adam Lambert and director Ray Kay have succesfully captured the Electropop sound, mixed with the atmosphere of an underground club, and presented them with enough twists and turns to keep the viewer interested until the very end.
Visually, this music video has dozens of layers, some subtle, some powerful, several tongue-in-cheek, and satisfies with each of them. I like how Mr. Kay has juxtaposed classic 30’s architecture and Lambert's leather outfit, with modern pop dance music, then steps it up with an impressive spiked costume. His band, comprising Lisa Harriton, Monte Pittman, Tommy Ratliff, and Longineu Parsons provide amazing vibes and edgy gear; the dancers and others in the video play out their own stories, and the room positively jumps to the beat. Lambert’s character portrayal is true to the lyrics, yet very tame. He lets his eyes do a lot of the work.
The song, written by Claude Kelly and Dr Luke is incredible; the lyrics enticing. It’s an anthem to satiate nearly all the senses, is also multi-layered, and spiced with subtle double entendre. It’s an impressive piece of art. I like the vibe, it’s catchy, and has a strong beat. Lambert’s vocals are offered in an interesting, eclectic mix, still showcasing a good amount of his astonishing range. I’m glad a man has broken through the current female entertainment glass ceiling when it comes to being sensual; it’s long overdue.
I hope to see many more music videos from the album of the same name. It is indeed a rarity to not want to skip any tracks on a debut album. Thank you Mr. Lambert.

Gosh I think For Your Entertainment is really a good dance song!! The video is sexy, though not as creative, but still good.

The double meaning behind they lyrics seems to be lost on some who are only able to associate them with the raunchier and angrier version played out on the AMA's. As Adam has said - that was just one performance. I love the description someone posted the day the video was first released on AdamOfficial.com "it's like goth night at Fangtasia" a reference to the vampire bar in the HBO series, True Blood. As a True Blood fan I'm still hoping for an Adam cameo on that show - singing of course. With HBO he could get as "outta the box" as he wants and it would be welcomed rather than condemned.

Great review!! Ray Kay did such a great job using the imagery to portray the sensual feeling of the lyrics in the song. Not to mention that Adam looks so bad-ass in the video. Awesome job, Glambert! Can't wait for many more music videos from him. :D

Yes, the video aptly fits the song, For Your Entertainment!!And yes, the eyes do say it all - along with the snake!!! Adam's artistry, through performance and song, is seemingly "very real" and convincingly brilliant. Further, in my opinion, Adam's debut album has a number of #01's on it and I, too, hope there are videos to come with each of them in due course. Respectfully, a spot-on review Ann Mason!

Hey good description, I like the beginning with the literal "underground" which morphs into an underground club, the dark goth like atmosphere is cool and there is a lot going on as you said to keep it interesting and catch glimpses of things, and Adam certainly has a thing for snakes lOL

I so love this video. It is like looking at a french painting. The underground club scene so expresses the lyrics and the feel of the song. The lyrics are so good. This song makes you dance and sing. Adams voice and the way he sings this song are just amazing. His sinister smile drives me crazy. It is just plain HOT!!!
