An Open Letter, With Gratitude.

Adam, although I have written in the past, I could never quite verbalise the exact reason for my inner connection, and what you have brought to so many of us. I have been listless all year. My own journey has developed in a good way that I never thought possible. I needed to reflect differently, in order to understand my life's lessons.

I have been perplexed as to why I have been creatively immobilized for a month since meeting you again. I can now relate to just why I literally felt all my energy being drawn and depleted from deep within. It's something I have never experienced before, and I realise that it was to be replaced with something so much more valuable. I experienced changes in my ideals since being transfixed with your versatility, tenacity, courage and strengths on Idol. It's obvious to me that your platform is a Karmic one, not necessitating a one-on-one meeting. I know you would probably protest, and say that 'It's not that deep'. I respectfully want to convey that you are very inspirational to so very many people, irrespective of whether they follow your music.

My instincts tell me that your time here isn't just about your incredible talent. The way you intelligently deal with principles, challenges and people is thoughtful and empowering. Your wisdom goes far beyond your years. I'm sure I'm one of hundreds of thousands of people who feel the same way, whether or not they have been fortunate enough to see you perform, or meet you in person. All this may not be easily apparent to you, but it might be more important that it's not.

Many of us have been on a special mission. We have been like those lost, driven souls depicted in the movie 'Close Encounters Of The Third Kind'. Our search however, has been to somehow connect with a real, and deeply emotive authenticity within ourselves. We have been looking for positivity within our lives, and been forced to search further afield, no matter how many beautiful gifts in life we have been given. We each have completely different lifestyles, customs, preferences, commitments, ethics and goals. There are many instances of positive people, quotes etc. but I have been looking for something that's on a different plane altogether. I guess it's been a holy grail of sorts; and I found it where I least expected it.

Modern times mean many parts of our foundation have been hastily built. Though we have technologies, community groups, and logic at our fingertips, we are not always more clever, insightful, loyal to our deepest needs, nor use our time wisely. The competitive nature of people is brought to the fore in our world, whether business, personal, or even through the media. It's all about achievement, and unfortunately, often about who makes the loudest noise, rather than who is the most deserving of our praise. Outrageous behaviour is rewarded in our societies, yet a humble scientist who does amazing work for mankind is deemed uninteresting and soon forgotten. Sometimes, we dart about like crazed fireflies, believing we should be targeting those people we in fact, should be shunning. It is sad that other's perception of whom we should be sometimes seems more important to us than our own primal instincts.

Diversity is the most beautiful thing about being a human being. We were all made as individuals for good reason. By being different to each other, we impart new and important concepts to those we meet. We become much more energetic, intuitive, honest and happier when we are true to ourselves. Sometimes you have to defend your actions, though it's often a trail with fewer obstacles when people are aware what you're really all about.

We should not undermine our potential by settling for second best by either ourselves, nor others. We're given opportunity to challenge what is not quite right, and live wholly as the person who we were so perfectly designed to be. Ourselves. This is what ultimately helps break down barriers that had no right to manifest in the first place. We are shown that we are so much more alike than we had thought; and it's the legacy we should be gifting to future generations.

Your displays of loyalty to your own inner person, showcasing confidence, resolve, strength and vision, have been more inspirational to me, than anyone else I have ever met. You and your music have brought me so many amazing friendships globally. My experiences of meeting such wonderful people are very rewarding, and I am very grateful to you for bringing us together.

My journey is now moving in the direction it always should have been. It is now rightfully aligned with beautiful, positive, creative people, whom I cherish. None of this would be possible without your Karmic energies, silently reminding me which road to take. I had been loyal to those who didn't deserve it, rather than ensuring my own world was balanced and buoyant. I've learned that we should mainly engage with positive people whom we respect, and leave something inspirational to those who aren't. It's wise to interact with adversaries of your own equal and higher, as you learn about yourself and others in the best way possible. You may end up garnering respect, or find that you have a new friend. We're all responsible for our life's decisions and ensuring we snap up opportunities as they are presented. When we share our bounty, we are rewarded with the most beautiful experiences.

Thank you Adam. For, without you just 'doing your thang' in the only way you know how; and continually raising the bar, I would not be in such a good place. The best thing is that I know I am only one voice, speaking for so many whom you have personally touched across the globe.
